We’re delighted to announce our membership in the Advanced Robotics for Manufacturing (ARM) Institute, an initiative of Manufacturing USA.

We believe this affiliation will provide a valuable resource and networking partnership as we embark on the development of the Tampa Bay Advanced Manufacturing & Robotics Center (AMRoC) .

This precedent setting space has a threefold mission:

  1. To provide a training and talent pipeline for Science, Technology and Manufacturing careers in the Tampa Bay and Central Florida regions.
  2. To inspire young people to become STEM, Manufacturing and Industry leaders by engaging them in exciting mentor based, diverse and inclusive programs that build science, engineering and technology skills, inspire innovation, and foster well- rounded life capabilities including self-confidence, communication, and leadership,
  3. To act as the headquarters for a Central Florida FIRST Hub with satellite facilities and resources throughout the Tampa Bay area and running along the I-4 Tech Corridor.

About the ARM Institute

Manufacturing USA, the National Network for The Advanced Robotics for Manufacturing Institute (ARM), is an initiative focused on coordinating public and private investment in emerging advanced manufacturing technologies. NNMI brings together industry, academia, and government partners to leverage existing resources, collaborate, and co-invest to advance manufacturing innovation and accelerate commercialization. NNMI creates a competitive, effective, and sustainable research-to-manufacturing infrastructure for U.S. industry and academia. The network consists of multiple linked Institutes for Manufacturing Innovation with common goals but unique technological concentrations.

Each institute accelerates U.S. advanced manufacturing by catalyzing the development of new technologies, educational competencies, production processes, and products via shared contributions from the public and private sectors and academia. The institutes provide shared facilities to local start-ups and small manufacturers to help them scale up new technologies, accelerate technology transfer to the marketplace, and facilitate the adoption of innovation developments across supply chains. Each institute acts as a ‘teaching factory’ to build workforce skills at multiple levels and to strengthen business capabilities in large and small companies.

The Foundation for Community Driven Innovation is honored to be part of this great workforce building coalition and proud to contribute to the development of our next generation of science, technology and manufacturing leaders and skilled workers.
