Foundation for Community Driven Innovation

Making the Future

The  Foundation for Community Driven Innovation (FCDI) is a 501c3 not-for-profit organization dedicated to supporting academic achievement, economic development and the spirit of innovation through inspiring programs and active learning  projects.

We facilitate fiscal sponsorship of competitive STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Manufacturing/Math) K-12 teams, in support of programs without their own nonprofit organization or school support, and support exciting hands-on learning and living events like Gulf Coast Make & Comic Con, Tampa Bay’s annual maker festival, and ROBOTICON Tampa Bay, an annual youth STEAM Showcase event.

FCDI is a member of the federally created ARM Institute and founder of the Tampa Bay Advanced Manufacturing & Robotics Center.

FCDI supports a range of programs, each serving our  mission of  academic and community development.  Our programs help student robotics teams, contribute to developing economic capacity, and support inspired living and learning experiences.

Community Driven Innovation requires collaborative community partnerships.   FCDI works closely with businesses and institutions in our community to help meet our mission goals and serve constituents. In return, our partners receive the commensurate added value of a well educated and talented academic and workforce pipeline, and the resulting personally empowered and critically thinking citizens we hope to inspire.  A clear win-win for all.

In recognition of our high ethical standards and commitment to transparency, the Foundation for Community Driven Innovation is a Gold Level Guidestar member and a Top Rated organization on Great Nonprofits!
