2017 at a Glance

This was a year of record achievements for FCDI, including:
  • Our first ever Robot in 1 Weekend livestreamed FIRST Tech Challenge build event, in collaboration with FIRST Alumni, University Mall and !p
  • Our biggest ever ROBOTICON youth STEM showcase & FIRST off-season event, with over 3000 people in attendance, produced in partnership with the University of South Florida and Hillsborough County
  • Working with The People of Manufacturing, St. Petersburg College and other community partners in the development of the Tampa Bay Advanced Manufacturing and Robotics Centeraiming for an early 2018 launch,
  • Partnering with St. Petersburg College & SPCs iLab for an expanded Gulf Coast Maker & Comic Con event set for March 24 at the SPC-Seminole campus
  • Recognition by the Lightning Foundation via the Lightning Community Hero program
All told, our programs reach thousands throughout Tampa Bay., and more online through our website resources and program support.
